The Last of Us Explorer is a fan-made website designed to help enthusiasts of The Last of Us Part II navigate the streets of Seattle. The site aims to bring the immersive world of this critically acclaimed video game to life. By providing fully mapped locations, in-game screenshots, and real-life photography, the project allows fans to connect the virtual and real-world Seattle, reliving Ellie's journey in a new and exciting way.

Design Process

Research and Planning: The project began with thorough research into The Last of Us Part II to identify key in-game locations based in Seattle.

This involved playing the game, taking notes, and capturing screenshots of significant landmarks in game.

Mapping the Locations: Using these screenshots, real-life counterparts were identified through online maps and local exploration. Each location was meticulously verified to ensure accuracy, which was fun and considerably easy as I’m based out of Seattle.

Website Development: The website was built using Framer and Google Maps. The site incorporates visual elements from the game to maintain thematic consistency.
